This was an ad for a software package that tracked all types of accountable shipments. I had already photographed all the still-life components, but at the last minute, we decided to include an image illustrating the ad's copy in a humorous way.
Not having much time, I set up some shipping boxes by the front windows of the studio office. I had my assistant, Ben, sit heavily upon the boxes while reading the sports section of the paper, and eating a glazed donut; I was flat on the floor with a 35mm camera shooting straight up.
After the film came back, we drum-scanned the selected image and added the color-effects. The final image was combined with one of the still-life images and the copy for the finished ad.
